An alphabetized list of YouTubers I think you should watch instead of blindly scrolling through shorts

This is a way for me to spotlight some of the lesser-known creators I like who I believe really deserve some love. It's also a resource for you to go down your little rabbit holes and learn about some neat things! Or you know, in case it's one of those days.

albinwhisperland

I simply had to put her here - this is the ASMR channel of a very sweet artist with pink hair. Her videos have helped me get to sleep for YEARS now... My favorites are her whisperland survey call series.

Bachelor Fantake

In which you'd like to see recaps of just how stupid (affectionate) the ABC Network's The Bachelor franchise has become.

BBQ Pit Boys

Unabashedly, just guys bein' dudes hangin' out at the pit. Be warned, these saucy rubs and meat WILL make you hungry. We're gonna smoke us a fatty brisket. Are your BBQ shoes on?

Ben Deen

One of the realest, chillest guys on YouTube. Makes sense, cuz I think he's from Chicago. Anyway, his food vids are mighty fine.

cybr.grl

She has to be here - she is an icon in the decora/Jfashion community. Lots of fun, extremely colorful outfits to see. I also love her interview series where she digs deep into the history of various Jfashion substyles.

Darling Dollz

Fantastically fun & informative vids about all things fashion dolls - Barbie, Rainbow High, Monster High, & more...Even the adorable Japanese Licca-chan dolls! Darling is also an Idolm@ster fan, so that is so real.

DereDere Decoden

Very, very cute Decoden phone cases. Quite satisfying to watch them being made. There are also tutorials on how to start crafting Decoden on this channel, too!

Disneyloid

Such cool custom-made Project Diva 3D modules. Adorable fashions and custom characters that can be modded into your game!

hazel

Long, introspective video essays about various nostalgic/obscure anime and video games. Possibly the best to ever do it. A classic.

Idolmaster Subs

Specifically, I'm linking to the Idolm@ster history, gameplay reviews, and analysis/commentary as I find them the most fascinating. These are some of my favorite videos on YouTube - in which we dive into the fashion design, characters, and legacy of the Idolm@ster franchise.

japanesestuffchannel

Relaxing no-talking videos showing off a bunch of cool Japanese goods/products.

Jenny Morgan

Videos about the cultural impact & history of the Idolm@ster franchise.

jujukazu

Enormous collection of fanmade edit PVs and charts from Project Diva F and F2nd.

K66GunsoFN

A flipnote animator that I watched religiously growing up. Makes a lot of music videos featuring her friends, OCs and other anime characters.

Kayozia

A determined, hardworking blue fox Vtuber who is also a really great artist; I have some of her work on my car. Her videos about tabling at artist alleys, collecting anime figures, and all of her stuff is just really interesting. I also enjoy watching her drawing/gaming streams from time to time. She also happens to know a lot about airplanes.

Kiana

What can I say... Kiana has an immaculate himegyaru fashion and lifestyle. Each video is an absolute vibe; the dolliest, daintiest content in the space.

KingK

Retrospectives and musings about old video games. Really chill, long videos that will make you feel whispy with nostalgia.

Liya Kitten

A pretty rave girl that posts impressive Kandi (beads, perlers) tutorials and other fun crafting/partying videos.

LostandFoundcharms

A time capsule of a YouTube channel... This artist made adorable clay charms of anime characters. I wish I could go back in time and order some. Her blind box and Love Live trading card videos are also really nice to watch.

Lovely Lor

A veteran lolita fashion content creator - her channel is full of lots of videos all about the lolita fashion community and how it has evolved over the years. Lots of resources/tips for both new and vet lolitas.

Lovely4U

Make your own gorgeous clay anime figures with these cool tutorials!

Lyblob

One of the nicest, coolest anime figure collectors on YouTube! She likes to collect shojo and brown (tan and dark skin) girl figures. She also makes amazing custom nendoroids.

MarzipanWhispers

An ASMR channel I return to now and then, because I find it the one of the most relaxing. Plus, I get to hear about various gaming/otaku-related topics while I sleep/chill. She shows off figures, games, manga, and more.

Mikulele P

This producer has been uploading videos of Hatsune Miku singing over his ukulele covers of various songs. He has been at this for 16 years straight now. So, he is possibly the most dedicated vocaloid producer to exist...? If you'd like to learn/play the ukulele along with Miku, he provides the chords to follow along in every video.

onlinepetclub

An artist that makes super cute moe/anime animation memes.

RIM

A game developer who is making a beautiful game called Alice on Delivery. She's making absolutely incredible progress and her animated characters and the game world look so lovely and warm.

roozuka

An artist that creates moe/anime works that look like they came straight out of 2008.

SailorGuardianHope

A girly cute content creator that makes deep dive videos about obscure magical girl, shoujo, and Disney manga/anime.
